Three Years and Counting
February 7th, 2023 marks three years since I started MDL Events. Back in 2020 what I would say started off as a hobby turned into a passion. Growing up I’ve always been around hospitality. As you may know that Filipinos are known for their welcoming attitude and hospitable personalities.Growing up being around this environment and as I grew older that sparked a vision in me. Although I majored and graduated with a nursing degree. In 2020 at the age of just 21 working the frontlines during the pandemic I knew that nursing wasn’t always going to be for me. I knew I had a calling for something else. I’ve always had a creative and artistic background. So I thought to myself why don’t I get into designing and curating weddings and floristry. That is where that thought brought me here today.
During these past 3 years we’ve curated and designed many weddings, made many friendships, connections, cried a little, laughed, learned A LOT, grown, and made memories that will truly last a lifetime that our couples and their guests will remember. One thing I can say being a business owner isn’t always that easy. There are many ups and downs when owning a business. You are always learning new things on how to improve and different ways to run your business. I am very fortunate enough to have met people along the way who have been mentoring me and helping guide me along the way. When I first started I had no clue what I was doing. I just knew I had to put my name out the door and present myself in a professional way. Looking back at the many accomplishments, upbringings, challenges and obstacles we’ve faced. With the love of doing what I do and the support of my team, friends, family, fellow vendors who’ve turned into friends, God and all of you who stood behind me have kept me going and kept me strong. It is how grateful I am for each and everyone of YOU. All your support and encouragement has allowed me to grow as a person and create such beauty for each and everyone of my couples and clients. It’s allowed me to grow this business and keep it open and find my calling and finally live the dream I’ve always wanted to pursue. I am so intrigued to see what this next year and next season will bring. Growth, new opportunities, high and low challenges, more creativity we will take all, day by day one at a time. We can’t wait to celebrate all the love with our couples this year! From the bottom of our heart thank you thank you. Cheers to many more years of success to come!
